BMW n'aura qu'\u00e0 augmenter le nombre de cylindre pour augmenter la puissance....BMW \u00e9quipera ces moteurs de ce qu'elle appelle le pack \"twinpower turbo\" qui comprend l'injecteur central, le Vanos(syst\u00e8me de calage variable de la distribution), le valvetronic (actionnement des soupapes variable), et le turbo \u00e0 g\u00e9om\u00e9trie variable.<br \/>\nDeux type de turbo seront utilis\u00e9s&nbsp;: \u00e0 double entr\u00e9 de type twinScroll ou double turbo. Bmw fait tr\u00e8s fort sur l'architecture m\u00e9canique, en ayant en commun toutes les pi\u00e8ces \"lourdes\" de fonderie quel que soit le moteur&nbsp;: le bas moteur, le carter, le bloc, mais aussi le syst\u00e8me de refroidissement, la culasse, les arbres d'\u00e9quilibrages etc.<br \/>\nSeuls les pistons et les bielles seront renforc\u00e9s sur le diesel par rapport \u00e0 l'essence.<br \/>\nBMW annonce que le nombre de pi\u00e8ces communes entre ses moteurs essences et diesels sera de 40% et de 60% entre un trois et un 6 cylindres. Les co\u00fbt de revient vont baisser ainsi que le nombre de fournisseurs.
