La Skoda Rapid 2012 (4.48m) concurrencera l'Octavia un peu plus grande (4.57m, coffre \u00e0 hayon de 560 litres), mais pas longtemps\u00a0: la future g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d'Octavia attendue en 2013 atteindra 4.7 m et augmentera en gamme. La Toledo revient \u00e0 un statut de berline apr\u00e8s son \u00e9tape monospace (elle \u00e9tait il y a peu encore la version longue de l'Alt\u00e9a). Dans les deux cas la recette est au point: la base technique, reprise de la Volkswagen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carideal.com\/blog\/2010\/06\/16\/volkswagen-jetta\/\">Jetta<\/a>, est \u00e9prouv\u00e9e. Pour abaisser le ticket d'entr\u00e9e Seat r\u00e9utilise un ancien moteur \u00e0 essence 1.4 de 75 ch. Skoda mise quant \u00e0 lui sur le 1.2 TSI propos\u00e9 en version de 86 ch et 105 ch. Nous avons conduit le diesel et le 1.2 TSI (qui produisent tous deux 104 ch) et nous les avons trouv\u00e9s suffisants, bien que l\u2019essence ait \u00e9t\u00e9 sensiblement moins lourde. M\u00eame avec des puissances aussi faibles, ils pourraient continuer \u00e0 avancer, bien que chuter au-dessous de 1 500 tr \/ min dans le diesel reste \u00e0 vos risques et p\u00e9rils.
