Prix du gazole inf\u00e9rieur, bonus \u00e9cologique plus fr\u00e9quent et plus grande aisance lors des relances font g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement ,oublier le surco\u00fbt des mod\u00e8les diesels \u00e0 l'achat, puis l'entretien. En fait, la seul chose vraie dans ce domaine... c'est qu'il n'y a pas de science exacte. Le choix entre ces deux \u00e9nergies d\u00e9pend du kilom\u00e9trage effectu\u00e9 dans l'ann\u00e9e, du type de parcours emprunt\u00e9 (les diesels modernes n'aiment pas les courts trajets urbains), mais aussi de l'offre propos\u00e9e par les constructeurs. Et sur ce point, il est fr\u00e9quent que nous soyons d\u00e9\u00e7us par les blocs \u00e0 essence lors de nos essais: si leur agr\u00e9ment \u00e0 la conduite c'est beaucoup am\u00e9lior\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la g\u00e9n\u00e9ralisation des turbocompresseurs, leurs consommation s'\u00e9loignent trop des valeurs annonc\u00e9es par les constructeurs.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00e9s lors, la fiche technique du nouveau bloc de la Focus (125 ch pour seulement 1 litre de cylindr\u00e9e) ne nous rassure pas beaucoup. Un moteur si pouss\u00e9 pourra-t-il se montrer sobre en conditions r\u00e9elles ? Ses trois cylindres suffiront-ils \u00e0 offrir de l'agr\u00e9ment au volant ? Pour connaitre la r\u00e9ponse on a invit\u00e9 une focus diesel en tant que rivale.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Y-a t-il des diff\u00e9rences?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>La Focus 1.6 TDCi 115 ch, qui partage son moteur avec les compactes Citro\u00ebn, Peugeot, Mazda et Volvo, dispose de la technologie classique d'un diesel moderne: injection directe, rampe commune, turbo \u00e0 g\u00e9om\u00e9trie variable et syst\u00e8me Stop &amp; Start. A l'inverse, le moteur 1.0 Ecoboost ne ressemble pas vraiment aux offres concurrentes: trois cylindres seulement (c'est un cas unique dans la cat\u00e9gorie, et du dessous), turbo \u00e0 faible inertie, injection directe, calage variable \u00e0 l'admission et \u00e0 l'\u00e9chappement, pompe \u00e0 huile \u00e0 d\u00e9bit variable... Et ce n'est pas tout\u00a0!<\/p>\n<p>D'ordinaires, pour abaisser la temp\u00e9rature d'\u00e9chappement d'un moteur turbocompress\u00e9, le m\u00e9lange air\/essence est enrichi lors des fortes sollicitations. La consommation grimpe alors en fl\u00e8che.Le diesel PSA\/Ford n'est pas de loin, le diesel le moins agr\u00e9able \u00e0 l'usage de la cat\u00e9gorie: pas de creux excessif au-dessous de 2000tr\/min, relances correctes sur tout type de route, insonorisation efficace dans l'habitacle .
